Tom & Bethany have known each other most of their lives. We started dating as naïve 16-year-olds and have built a beautiful little life together over the past 18 years. What started out as a pookah shell wearing, long-haired hockey player and a self-professed "emo" theatre nerd turned into two kids exploring Boston and Providence together through their college years. Tom started working for East Providence Fire Department while Bethany applied to many (MANY) grad schools. In the meantime, we found the most charming apartment on the East Side of Providence and started building a home. We stayed in that apartment for about 7 years through adopting a kitten (Nox) and a puppy (Lulu), Bethany's grad school and becoming an SLP, many wonderful vacations (shout out Aruba 2020), quarantine and many years hosting both of our families for Thanksgivings. Those years were full of "urban cookouts", social outings, light and love. In 2022, we bought our dream house in (who would have guessed), Connecticut. (Bethany likes to pretend it's still Rhode Island... it basically is!!) In this chapter, we've been enjoying watching Lulu run around the backyard and traipse through the trees. Nox has thankfully stopped hanging upside down from the windows but is just as mischievous as ever. We love hosting our family and friends in the house we are so thrilled to call our home. In January 2024, Tom decided it was time to propose. He gathered so many of our closest friends and got down on one knee at Bethany's favorite cocktail bar, The Walnut Room, in Providence. She had no idea. We always knew we wanted to gather the people we love and get married on a beach somewhere. We've always felt our most joyful, tranquil and thankful next to or in the ocean, whether that's thousands of miles away or in Rhode Island. These are the feelings we want to share with everyone on our wedding day. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
