Johnny has been chaperoning Bernice and Osbaldo's dates, dealing with their jokes and adventures since he was around 11 years old - he is now 22.

Ayo is Bernice's her personal spiritual blacksmith sent by God. Sharpening each other through their bible studies and conversations, Ayo is truly a Proverbs 31 woman who Bernice looks up to - a woman of devotion, discipline and love. When they aren't having bible studies, they're exploring San Diego when Ayo is in town, braiding hair, sharing sweaters from thrift stores or knitting on a Friday night. So if you find her at the wedding knitting, don't be surprised.

Bernice thanks him for always rooting for her whether it be with her long distance relationship with Osbaldo or during her time academically at Calvin. Whether it's instigating new bets to cooking with only the best ingredients, Martin is always fun and luxurious.
