Located directly behind The Ballantyne Hotel, The Bowl is a retail, dining, and entertainment complex featuring some of our favorite spots like Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen and The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery (OMB)!
Little Mama’s Italian
One of our favorite local Italian-American spots. You can't go wrong ordering from the "Mozzarella Bar," or anything else on the menu!
SouthPark
Julia and Bennett’s home is coincidentally located in the quaintest town in Charlotte! Explore some of our Southpark favorites: Golden Cow Creamery – One of our favorite ice cream shops, Golden Cow boasts unique flavors like Dunkamoos and Earl Grey. Legion Brewing – Charlotte is known for its breweries and Legion is a local favorite, locates just steps away from our apartment. Paco’s Tacos and Tequila – Our go-to Tex-Mex spot. They even have a separate tequila menu, so you know their margaritas are great! RH Rooftop – If you’re feeling fancy, visit the rooftop bar and restaurant atop the luxury furniture store. SouthPark Mall – Explore every store imaginable under one beautifully air conditioned roof.
Springfield Golf Club
Just across the NC/SC border in Fort Mill, you'll find this beautiful public golf course. If you have time, enjoy a round of golf!
Uptown Charlotte
Charlotteans refer to center city as Uptown, since it sits upon a hill. Uptown hosts some of Charlotte's best attractions, including: Bank of America Stadium – The stadium is home to the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC. Levine Center for the Arts – A cultural center including Knight Theater, The Bechter, Mint Museum, and The Harvey B. Gantt Center. NASCAR Hall of Fame – A Charlotte must-see museum that pairs NASCAR history museum with immersive experiences. Romare Bearden Park – Named for the influential artist, the park is across the street from Truist Field, home to our MiLB team, the Charlotte Knights. Rooftops – Explore panoramic views of the city at rooftop lounges like Aura, Búho, Fahrenheit, Merchant and Trade, and Nuvole. Waverly Walk is another large retail, dining, and complex housing the Courtyard Waverly. It has everything you could ever need while traveling—Whole Foods, CVS, Starbucks—all within walking distance.
