Explore Philly

We're thrilled to have you in Philly for our wedding weekend. If you're looking for some things to do while in town, here are some of our favorites. (Proof of vaccination required for all of our wedding events)
Take a walk through Rittenhouse Square

Take a walk through Rittenhouse Square

210 W Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, PA 19103

One of five original squares planned by city founder William Penn in the late 17th century, Rittenhouse Square is one of our favorite places to take a weekend walk with Lady and grab a drink. You can hang out for a picnic in the grass amongst the trees or swing by one of the restaurants that line the east side of the square (Parc is our favorite).

Visit Philly's most artistic mile

Visit Philly's most artistic mile

2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, Philadelphia, PA 19103

The Benjamin Franklin Parkway is Philadelphia’s most artistic mile (and our neighborhood). Some of the city’s most important cultural institutions are housed here, including the Barnes Foundation, The Franklin Institute, The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, the Rodin Museum, and the crowning Philadelphia Museum of Art. If you're not a museum person, we recommend taking in the view from the top of the Art Museum's steps or walking around behind the museum to see the various statues and sculptures that lead you down to the Schuylkill River.

Get patriotic at Independence Hall

Get patriotic at Independence Hall

520 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA

Birthplace of the Consitution and the Declaration of Independence there is plenty of history to soak up at this 3-block section of Old City. Buildings and structures include the National Constitution Center, the Independence Visitor Center, Free Quaker Meetinghouse, President's House Memorial, and the Liberty Bell Center. Don't forget to hydrate and grab a beer at Independence Beer Garden (west of the Liberty Bell).

Schuylkill River Trail & Kelly Drive

Schuylkill River Trail & Kelly Drive

Walk this multi-use trail along the banks of The Schuylkill River from Gray's Ferry all the way out to Kelly Drive. We like to find a nice picnic spot along the river past Boathouse Row.

Philadelphia's most beautiful building

Philadelphia's most beautiful building

1400 John F Kennedy Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19103

This is not a fact, but City Hall is definitely Ben's pick for Philly's most beautiful building. It serves as the seat of the municipal government of the City of Philadelphia, housing the chambers of the Philadelphia City Council and the offices of the Mayor of Philadelphia. It also has a 37ft tall statue of William (Billy) Penn at the top of it. Dilworth Park and Love Park are also close by.
