One of our first trips together was to Charlottesville in the fall. We love visiting the wineries, hiking the blue ridge mountains, and driving through the peaceful Virginia countryside.
We are so excited to have you visit some of our favorite places in the area and celebrate with us!
Carter Mountain Orchard and Country Store
1435 Carters Mountain Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22902
Just minutes from downtown, this charming orchard offers seasonal fruit picking, famous apple cider doughnuts, and sweeping valley views of Charlottesville!
Downtown Mall
East Main Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902
Take a stroll along the downtown mall and enjoy local shopping and dining. Apparently it's one of the longest pedestrian malls in the country!
Humpback Rocks Trail
Humpback Rocks Trail, VA 22920
Hike Humpback Rocks-4.0 mile hike (2 miles out and back). Beautiful 360 views of the area. We hiked this on our first trip ever to Charlottesville. I don't recall cursing Kevin's name on this hike as I do others.
King Family Vineyards
6550 Roseland Farm, Crozet, VA 22932, 434) 823-7800
If you can't make our Welcome Gathering, be sure to stop by at some point during the weekend. Enjoy the stunning blue ridge mountain backdrop while you sip on their famous rosé. It's a 22 minute drive from downtown and must do in Charlottesville!
Veritas Vineyards and Winery
151 Veritas Lane, Afton, VA 22920
Delicious wine and great views.
Monticello
1050 Monticello Loop, Charlottesville, VA 22902
For history lovers, visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site and former home of Thomas Jefferson. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance on their website.
University of Virginia
Charlottesville, VA
Neither of us went to UVA (Go Hokies and Hoosiers)...but it's a gorgeous campus to walk around and pretend you're a student!
