We chose a destination wedding because we love to travel. And because of this, we couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than by bringing everybody with us to celebrate. We hope you will cherish this experience overseas for years to come and you have a trip of a lifetime!
We chose Italy because it's somewhere that Nick had wanted to travel since he was a little boy. He had always dreamed of having his honeymoon in Italy. And, when Amanda found the wedding venue (Castello di Rossino) of her dreams, she instantly fell in love with the idea!
About an hour's drive north of Milan, the region has an unbelievably picturesque setting that includes lush greenery and lakeside historic villages framed by the backdrop of the Italian and Swiss Alps. Travel around a bit more, and you'll find ornate centuries-old villas, elaborate gardens brimming with fragrant flowers, tiny churches and endless scenic walks and hikes. Welcoming locals enthusiastically share their culture and traditions with visitors. Many blockbuster movies have been filmed in Lake Como, including "Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones," "Casino Royale" and "Ocean's Twelve," and while the area has always attracted tourists, it has more recently become synonymous with glamor and luxury. Activities include walking, hiking, boating, paddle boarding, jet skiing, kayaking, cooking classes, foodie tours and more!

While we wish we could afford to fly everyone abroad for free, we can't. You should expect to pay $400-500 per person for a flight to Milan. The hotel is $135 a room and we have a wedding block from 9/5/2022 through 9/8/2022. Gather your travel documents as soon as possible, including your current/updatd driver’s license, passport, TSA precheck (optional) and global entry (optional). Passport: Applying for or renewing a passport is taking longer than usual! Apply for this right away as it can take months to receive it. If you have a passport already, make sure your passport will not expire for at least six months after your trip is scheduled to end. TSA PreCheck and Global Entry: These programs can help you zip through airport security lines. Fill out the online application and visit an enrollment center. TSA Precheck ($85) puts you in a faster security line at U.S. airports. Global Entry ($100) includes TSA Precheck and adds expedited customs screening upon your return from international trips. You must already have a valid U.S. passport to apply for Global Entry, and you must participate in an interview at a designated enrollment center.
If you plan to rent a car during your trip, there is a parking lot that is free to use located at the castle.
Children are definitely welcome at the wedding and for any other events that are planned! Please let us know if they will be joining us!
Check the Travel page on our wedding website for more details.
If you or your guest has any sort of food allergy, please let us know and we will make the proper arrangements!
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
There is no registry for our destination wedding. Just get there and bring your party pants!
You can use a garment bag. Some airlines charge for a garment bag, some do not, some airlines let it slide. We recently went to Germany and we were able to bring on the garment bag on the plane because they offered to check our carry-on for free (they asked us). However, they LOST one of our carry-on bags. If you want to be absolutely sure, pay for your garment bag ahead of time. Alternatively, pack your dress in your carry-on luggage and bring it on the plane with you. DO NOT PACK YOUR DRESS/SUIT IN YOUR CHECKED LUGGAGE. If it gets lost, and luggage gets lost all the time (see above) you will regret packing it in your checked bag.
