We met at the Bush School as classmates. It is rumored that Savannah moved away from Austin when he tried to sit by her in economics class, but she denies this version of events. We began talking in fall of 2019 but officially became a couple in the spring of 2020, just in time for COVID. Six months of long distance between Texas and Florida didn't stop us!

Austin told Savannah they were going to a Pokémon event in Austin, and he wanted her to meet his friends. She was not keen on going because she doesn't enjoy Pokémon even the slightest bit. The event was supposed to be at Zilker Park in Austin, which is the location where Savannah & Austin spent their first Valentine's Day. Once they got to Lou Neff Point, Savannah realized it looked familiar. That's when Austin said he had something to give her and got down on one knee. He ended his proposal by saying their two dogs need a unified home, and that's when Savannah said yes and her friends jumped out of their hiding spot to surprise her.
