Things To Do

Historic Third Ward

Historic Third Ward

400 N Water St, Milwaukee, WI 53202

The Milwaukee Public Market is the focal point of the Third Ward and a great place to eat, drink, and shop. Our favorite tacos in Milwaukee are the steak tacos from Margarita Paradise inside the market, and Becca raves about the frozen margaritas! There are plenty of other attractions within a few blocks, the Third Ward is littered with great brunch options. If you are looking for a rooftop bar you can head to either Central Standard Distillery, or the Outsider at the Journeyman. If you want to fit in a little taste of “Up North Wisconsin” pop into Camp Bar for a quick teleport to the Northwoods.

Harley-Davidson Museum

Harley-Davidson Museum

400 West Canal Street, Milwaukee, WI 53201
, (414) 287-2789

Brady will tell you this was his favorite museum in the world before he even started working at Harley in 2015, and he has never owned a motorcycle. There is a restaurant right on site with great BBQ and sandwiches with indoor and outdoor seating options. If you are looking for a fun place to eat near the Harley Museum, take a walk south on the sixth street bridge until you get to Zocalo, a local food truck park with plenty of options from ice cream to burgers. If you do, you will walk right past Becca and Brady’s apartment in the large cream city brick building on the right along the river. Another great option in the area is the The Yard, which is a covered patio at the Iron Horse hotel.

Morning walk along the river

If you want to channel your inner Patty Reiman and head out for a morning walk there are great options near the hotel. There is a riverwalk along the eastern edge of the river that will take you from downtown all the way through the third ward to the south gate of Summerfest on the Lake Michigan. If you are really feeling ambitious, you can continue though Lake Shore Park around the back side of the Summerfest grounds and pop out near the Milwaukee Art Museum. From there you can walk through downtown back to the hotel.

Milwaukee Lakefront

700 N Art Museum Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53202

Between the Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World, and the Summerfest grounds there is plenty to see on the lake. Lake shore Park is a great place to walk along Lake Michigan and see the Summerfest grounds. Most food and drink options are within downtown and the Third Ward, so don’t head that way hungry.

Deer District

Deer District

1134 Vel R. Phillips Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203

Milwaukee is very proud of our Milwaukee bucks, head over the Deer district if you are a sports fan and you will fall in love. If your team happens to be playing on TV The Mecca is an excellent sports bar. Otherwise check out Drink Wisconsibly Pub for a true Wisconsin bar experience.

Harbor House

The Harbor House is a must if you like seafood! Just a short walk from the Art Museum, enjoy seafood and drinks with a view of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee skyline.
