Becca and Brady initially met as kids at a summer hockey camp in Eagle River, Wisconsin, but that portion of their relationship was short-lived. It wasn't until the summer of 2017 when we crossed paths at The Harp (of all places) in downtown Milwaukee! At the time, Brady was living on the east coast and wasn't planning on moving back to Milwaukee until the fall, but he saved his number in Becca's phone as "your future husband." After several months of keeping in touch, Brady moved back to Milwaukee, and the rest is history.

I knew I wanted to ask her in the place we fell in love, on the rooftop of my old apartment building on Water St in the Third Ward of Milwaukee. Given that I had moved out and we had not been there in years, I knew it would be a challenge to get her up to the roof without it raising suspicion. I turned to my old roommate and now groomsman, Max help pull it off while visiting from NYC. After a champagne toast and photos, we went across the street to our favorite bar on the river to meet our extended family and friends waiting to celebrate with some golden hour cheers! Everything went according to plan; I surprised Becca on one knee in front of our families, who had been hiding on the roof waiting for the big moment.
