Salzburg Via Frankfurt Flying directly into Salzburg via layover in Frankfurt. Most USA hubs have direct flights to Frankfurt (Raleigh-Durham, Boston, Newark, JFK, Charlotte, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Washington Dulles, Los Angeles, San Francisco). Salzburg via Vienna Flying direct to Vienna and taking the train to salzburg (2.5hr train ride) or renting a car and driving (3hr drive). The easiest train option as the train departs directly from the airport! Many USA hubs have direct flights to Vienna (Boston, Newark, JFK, Chicago, Washington Dulles, Los Angeles).
