Located in the beautifully modern Dallas Arts District, the DMA is free to visit everyday during its regular hours. Once you are finished looking at the art galleries, walk over to the Klyde Warren Park or jump on the free trolley!
A great place to run, take a walk or bike along the 10 mile trail around the lake.
Our favorite running trail that spans 3 miles from end to end. You will see many people running, biking and walking their dogs. You can park at Reverchon Park and there is an entrance to the trail. The Katy Trail Icehouse is also located along the trail and only about 0.25 mile from the Reverchon Park entrance.
A museum that chronicles the assassination of JFK in downtown Dallas. While we have not had a chance to visit (yet), Ben's family loved it when they went during their visit to Dallas.
Ride the historical trolley for free and see the Dallas uptown area! We rode the trolley on one of our earlier dates and it ended up being the place where Ben proposed.
Great selection of Texas sized burgers, beers and a nice outdoor patio.
Our favorite Texas BBQ place in Dallas, on the corner of Bishop Arts District, an up-and-coming area with many restaurants and boutique shops. For dessert, head over to the original Emporium Pie at the end of the street.
Delicious ramen house with other Japanese fare in Lower Greenville, a neighborhood with lively restaurants and bars.
Great outside bar in the setting of a truck yard with live music and great drinks. There are also many good restaurants in the surrounding Lower Greenville area.
Home to the doughnut ice cream, Stephanie's favorite dessert.
Our favorite brunch place, especially for the stuffed french toast.
An indoor/outdoor bar right on the Katy Trail with happy hour and an extensive selection of draft beer.
Our favorite Korean BBQ place in the area. It's all you can eat!
