It was the second day of medical school orientation week when Stephanie decided to sit next to Ben at a BBQ pool party. At that time, Stephanie didn't think that they clicked, but Ben had his sights set on one of Stephanie's friends. Although that romance never blossomed (fortunately), the whole group became good friends. The next spring semester they all took a spring break trip to California together and eventually Stephanie and Ben ended up in the same salsa class at school. Over time, they realized that they only wanted to dance with each other. A few weeks later, Ben asked Stephanie to be his date to the medical school prom and the rest is history.

Ben's family was visiting for the weekend and as per tradition they all went to dinner for some juicy steaks. Towards the end of dinner, Ben's mom developed a splitting headache so the family abruptly left for their hotel with plans to re-convene. In the meantime, Ben suggested that he and Stephanie take the trolley, one of Stephanie's favorite activities. An empty trolley pulled up and when the conductor addressed Ben by his name, Stephanie became suspicious. They both climbed into the trolley and after a brief moment, Ben got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. A few trolley stops later, they were surprised by family and friends who joined them on the trolley for a night of celebration.
