O'Hare International Airport (ORD) or Midway International Airport (MDW)

The two closest airports to Chicago are O'Hare and Midway. Both are between a 30-60 min drive to downtown, depending on traffic. The Blue Line train also runs from inside O'Hare to downtown Chicago. Tickets are $5 and the ride takes usually 45 min.

The hotel is located in the Streeterville neighborhood, which is in the heart of downtown Chicago. It is 0.8 miles from Navy Pier (17 min walk) and 3.1 miles from Salvatore's. Nearby you will find plenty of shopping on the Magnificant Mile, as well as many bars and restaurants steps away. Navy Pier, the Ohio Street beach, and the Chicago Riverwalk are all within walking distance.

Travel Note

Safety note for AirBnB and other rentals

If you choose to stay at an AirBnB or other rental, please be cautious of the neighborhood where it is located. Guests should generally avoid staying in the West and South sides of Chicago. Neighborhoods we recommend include Streeterville, River North, West Loop/Fulton Market, Lincoln Park, and Wicker Park. The first three will be right in the city, whereas the latter two will give you slightly more of a neighborhood feel. See the link below for a helpful map. We recommend staying in the Central or North regions (pink and light blue).

Lollapalooza Disclaimer

Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you are looking to catch a show) our wedding will be the same weekend as the Lollapalooza concert festival held in Grant Park downtown Chicago. We recommend booking hotel and travel accommodations early, as things will likely get booked up and be rather expensive as we get closer to the date. Sorry!
