No, not at all. We got the hotel blocks for everyone's convenience and to try to get cheaper prices. You are welcome to set up your own accommodations if you would like. You should know that we will be setting up a shuttle to the wedding and back from our hotel blocks though, so it will be easier to take advantage of this if you stay in the block. We do recommend sticking to the Longmont, Boulder, Lyons area though regardless.

The dress code is casual. We want everyone to dress up if they want but more importantly we want you to be comfortable and have fun. And yes, we are planning to have our wedding be costume optional since it it so close to Halloween! We ask that you save any of the more crazy/distracting aspects of your costume for the reception.
We would like to be accommodating to everyone, as we have many food allergies in our family and we know if can be difficult. Our dinner will be buffet style, and we will be including a vegan option. We hope this will allow everyone to find something that works for them, but if not, we are okay if you would like to contact us with special requests and we will see what we can do.
