We met at San Francisco School of Law, but it was not until our second year in that we got to know each other. At the time, Austin was moot court partner's with Abby's housemate. After months of prep, moot court competition day concluded and it was time for Austin and his competition partner to celebrate in the only proper form any typical second year law student knows—at a bar. Despite hesitancy, and at the last minute, Abby decided to make an appearance for the celebratory achievement, and we very unexpectedly hit it off. Shortly after, Austin asked Abby on a formal first date in San Francisco. After a few more dates and with the conclusion of second year finals, we went on our first spur of the moment getaway together trip to Santa Barbara, CA. In the blink of an eye two and a half years passed, we found ourselves back in Santa Barbara and . . . ENGAGED!
Austin, of course, made the first move. During our first formal date, we were sitting in a restaurant drinking a pitcher of Sangria. Mask were still mandated in San Francisco, so Abby had hers on as she came back to the table from the bar. Austin pulled down her little mask and kissed her!
We love to run and play chess together!
We're not sure yet, but anywhere with beautiful beaches is a must.
We've made A LOT of amazing meals together, but our favorite is probably the lobster and scallops Austin makes for Abby's birthday each year.
Our post-bar/law school trip to Kauai, HI. We hiked about 8 miles to hanakapiai falls and celebrated at a luau after. It was incredible!

We spent the day at a hot springs near Yosemite National Park with the plan to camp for the night afterward, but no 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 plan was made as to where we would set up camp (and no research into campsites). We ended our day at the hot spring and headed toward Yosemite. One thing led to another and, ultimately, we pulled off the side of a back road and set up camp right then and there. We saw the most incredible stars and were treated to an unexpected meteor shower!
