Wedding Party

The following excerpts are how I met the men that are standing beside me on my wedding day. There is no possible way to put in to words what they mean to me, and it would take a dissertation just to tell our stories. I’ve met them all at different points in my life and they have all, inspired me, motivated me, even humbled me and I would not be the man I am today or be standing where I am without each and every one of them. It is my privilege and honor to introduce the men that will be standing next to me at the altar, and say they are not only my best friends but they are truly my family. -Kiel

Abbey Fradette

Maid of Honor

Abbey and I met at Pink/Victoria’s Secret after I moved to Dallas. I asked her as a local what the best bar would be to meet the FSU alumni group for football watch parties and she pointed me straight to Pluckers. She is the first to tell you her honest opinion but also the first to support your decision.

Garett Smith

Best Man

Garett and I met when we were assigned at station 37 together. Although Garett hated me when I first got there, eventually I broke him down and we became best friends. I am proud to not only have him as my best man, and best friend but also be a part of his family.

Kaitlin Teixeira

Bridesmaid

Kaitlin is my younger sister. She has always been my right hand. Whether we were goofing around during road trips, playing videos game, or just spending time together during the summers she always had me laughing. Kaitlin is an extremely caring person who has always wanted the best for me and I couldn’t imagine my wedding without her.

Conor Doyle

Groomsman

I met Conor as a freshman in college where we played lacrosse together and ended up becoming roommates. Conor and I bonded over all things country, and became inseparable. We would terrorize the bay area in his lifted ford and then terrorize our dorm with classic country. But Conor took his talents to Montana, and through visiting him he introduced me to big sky country and my second favorite place on earth.

Kelsey Carnahan

Bridesmaid

Kelsey and I were conveniently scheduled for every class together in 7th grade. She was very friendly but did not understand sarcasm at all! We became fast friends and spent our free time listening to music and quoting Dane Cook. I’m so thankful to have such a long standing friendship.

Diggy McGuire

Groomsman

Diggy and I met through Conor while we were in college; Diggy was working as a firefighter already and immediately took me under his wing teaching me everything he could. After that night mine and Diggy’s friendship did nothing but grow and we became inseparable. To this day I cherish my trips back out to see him and everything he’s done.

Ayla Lockwood

Bridesmaid

Ayla and I met in 7th grade as well. From day one she has been the absolutely kindest. Ayla sees the best in everyone and is the first to step in when a friend needs help. No matter where life or the Air Force took us we have stayed close friends!

Matthew Killian

Groomsman

Matt and I met in the 3rd grade when we were in religious education together, however what truly solidified our friendship was “your mom” jokes, as his mom was our teacher. Matt has truly been a life long best friend to me, and he is the type of man that will give you the shirt off his back. From weekends at the farm, to river trips, to coast trips, Matt has played a pivotal role in my life and I wouldn’t ask for anyone different.

Lauren Smith

Bridesmaid

Lauren is Kiel’s boyfriend’s wife (Garett-The best man). The boys like to call us sister wives. Lauren is quiet before you get to know her but has the best one liners. She is determined and can accomplish anything she puts her mind to. Having her support has meant the world.

Adam Moreno

Groomsman

Adam and I met in high school, from running in the same group of friends. I don’t think there is a story from high school that doesn’t involve Adam and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It seems without fail whenever I need it, my phone rings and Adam is on the other end. Adam is the type of man that drops the phone whenever someone is in need and is always a helping hand up and I am humbled to call him my friend.

Brennah Crowley-Galvin

Bridesmaid

Brennah is one of my sister-in-laws to be and currently a roommate. She makes shift nights better with dinner, wine, and Netflix. She also has incredible party planning skills. I’ve been fortunate enough to watch Brennah graduate college and move forward into her own life and excited for her to take part in our wedding.

Kenny Jenkins

Groomsman

Kenny and I met in our fire academy, he is not hard to get along with. All he needs is a Lonestar Lite and good country music and he’s happy. Kenny is one of the hardest workers in the room and one of the most genuine men I’ve known. From the academy to the buffalo wild wings “study” sessions, to whoever is in concert, to now working with Kenny it has been an absolute privilege to call him a friend.

Caitlin Calderon

Bridesmaid

Caitlin is one of my sister-in-laws to be. The first night I met Kiel’s family, Caitlin and I got into the topic of Lord of the Rings and I knew we would get along great. At all Thanksgiving celebrations Caitlin always made sure I felt included and that really means so much to me. I’m thankful to have been able to stand by Caitlin for her wedding and now to have her be a part of ours.

Jesus Cuevas

Groomsman

I sat next to Jesus when we were in the academy. And to be completely honest he helped me get through the academy, whether it be through his jaw cramping sense of humor or simply pushing me through whatever workout we were in. After the academy Jesus came to work with me at station 37, and there aren’t too many people I’d rather work along or call my friend.
