Did you know we met in high school? We both played volleyball. Here's us on my senior night.

Did you know we remained good friends throughout college? Here's us at Universal Studios with our friend Matt in 2010.

Our first date was to a UCF football game, but our second date was to Epcot! At the time, Ashley was in Florida on vacation - she was living in Virginia and working as a zookeeper.

After we made it "Facebook official", Ashley moved back to Florida. One of our favorite places to hang out was the happiest place on Earth!

We heard that couples who travel together stay together, so we figured we'd set ourselves up for success. Here's a picture on our first cruise together! Our first stop was Nassau.

We liked it so much, we did it a second time! This cruise, we got some snazzy professional portraits done.

I'd say we clean up pretty nicely, wouldn't you?

Did you know this isn't our first "wedding experience"? We have attended and participated in several weddings. Here we are at an engagement party for Ashley's friend Lindsey!

Did you know we send out Christmas cards every year? It's our way of sending our love when we can't send our money. :) Here's a picture we took at a photoshoot for our cards in 2016 (I think).

Sometimes things don't go according to plan. Take this hike gone wrong - a "short hike" that ended up being two miles roundtrip, with no water, in the Las Vegas heat! For better or worse, right?

We visited several places while in Vegas, and we had a dam good time. #HooverDamJoke

One of our favorite vacations was in the fall of 2017 to Acadia National Park. Here we are at Bubble Rock!

This may come as a shock to all of you, but sometimes we are pretty weird. Okay, we are weird MOST of the time. But it makes for very interesting pictures!

Relationship update: we had been together almost three years by the time this picture was taken. Obligatory final Acadia National Park appreciation post.

On the same trip as Acadia, we also went to Boston. We ate some good food, saw some cool things, and only got this close to Fenway Park.

That's right guys...our crazy Vegas hiking experience didn't scare us away enough - we went back in 2018 with our friends Tom and Torie to hike some more!

On that same trip, we visited the Grand Canyon and got to see our first canyon sunset. So worth it!

In the fall of 2018, we visited one of Ashley's favorite places to date: Mount Rainier National Park!

Relationship update: we are now about four years into this crazy thing! Mountain hiking and camping is still one of our favorite activities.

The end of 2018 was a whirlwind - Ashley graduated from her vet tech program and had surgery to remove cancer on her thyroid!

2019 was quite literally a life-changing year! Here's us on our first vacation to Portland, Oregon.

Summer of 2019 - Jared and Ashley moved to Moorhead, MN! Ashley took a job as a zoo vet tech in Fargo, ND and Jared took a job in IT support at a bank! Here we are at the Mississippi River headwaters.

New year, same vacation obsession. Here we are in fall of 2019 at the Brookfield Zoo (see giant Brookfield Zoo sign in background for confirmation).

Here we are at the Christkindlmarket in 2019! We tried to get outside during our first winter in the Midwest, even when it (almost) froze us to death.

Fun fact: it gets COLD up here! Don't mind the frozen waterfall behind us in this picture.

Relationship update: IT FINALLY HAPPENED, Y'ALL! WHEW! We weren't worried, were we? ;) We got engaged in February of 2020. Our first vacation as an engaged couple was to Glacier National Park!

We enjoyed our time at Glacier, frolicking in nature with the best of 'em.

We also drove through Badlands during our Glacier trip - as you can see, our picture-taking methods aren't always conventional.

Even with COVID impacting weddings all around us, we were still fortunate enough to travel to Arizona for Jared's sister Paige's wedding! Hey, we (still) clean up nicely!
