Burgundy ("Bourgogne" in French) is a special region of France that is very close to our hearts. Not only is it renowned for having some of the best wineries in the world along with 35 Michelin star restaurants within a small region, but most importantly, it is a place of origin for some of our family members. It has become one of our favorite places to visit and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Here are some of our favorite things to do in Burgundy:

Wine Tasting at Château de Pizay

There is a wine tasting room at Chateau de Pizay that is open everyday and offers wines on tap. Here you can try some of the best wines coming from Beaujolais. A really fun and interactive experience. For only 10€/adult, you'll get a glass to taste unlimited samples! Santé ! Wine Tasting Tour Along the Cote d'Or Vineyards

Burgundy is home to the best Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs in the world! There are endless wineries along the Cote d'Or. With so many options, it can be overwhelming, we recommend contacting Robert at Burgundy Discovery to set up a wine tasting tour to handle all the planning and thinking for you (feel free to mention Ashlei & Cyril's wedding for a special discount).

Auberge du Cep Restaurant

Auberge du Cep is a fantastic Michelin Star restaurant located only 12 minutes away from Chateau de Pizay. The concept is that there is no menu. Just give your dietary restrictions and the chef will curate a delicious tasting menu just for you. One of our absolute favorite dining experiences!

There are 17 Michelin Star restaurants in Beaujolais (all within ~15 minute by car from Chateau de Pizay).

Visit Beaune

Beaune is a beautiful 14th century town full of history, amazing restaurants, clothing boutiques, dijon mustard tasting, and enjoy the scenery. One of our absolute favorite cities in France. A must see!
