Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

The Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception will be held on the property of Persimmon Creek Barn in Beaverdam, VA.

What time is the ceremony? What time is the reception?

Answer

The welcome event starts at 3:00pm, the ceremony starts at 5:00pm. Cocktail hour starts at 6:00pm and the reception starts at 7:00pm.

What is the dress code? What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is Glam casual. The weather should be warm, wear something you could comfortably wear to the Oscars afterparty—a nice suit, flowy dresses, unique pieces to you or whatever brings you joy. Our colors range from burgundy to blush, so try not to clash with the esthetique too much. Since the ceremony will take place both indoors and outdoors, we recommend avoiding stiletto heels.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, so make sure to bring a cute hat and sunglasses. You will be able to cool off inside once the reception starts.

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the immediate family of the couple will be taking pictures for around an hour. Guests can wonder the property, enjoy lawn games, enjoy cocktails and have some snacks. Food will be available immediately following the ceremony, so make a plate when you are ready. Find your seat by 7:00 to welcome the bridal party and the new Mr. and Mrs.

Will transportation be provided? Is there easy parking at the venue(s)?

Answer

Shuttle services will be provided from and back to the hotels, but there is also plenty of parking at the venue. Make sure you RSVP for the shuttle and provide your hotel name when prompted.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

The Friday before the wedding we will be having dinner and drinks at Sky Bar in Fredericksburg, VA from 4:30pm-8:30pm. The day after the wedding we will be going to King's Dominion amusement park. Both of which you can RSVP for.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We sure hope you’ll be able to join us for your special day. With your invitation, there is an RSVP QR code you can fill out online or feel free let us know your plans right here on our website.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please get us your RSVP by August 16th, so we have time to buy enough food and booze.

Question

Can I bring my kids? Will there be a babysitter?

Answer

YES and YES!! We will have a great team to entertain the little ones, but they will not be responsible for diaper changes.

Can I bring extra people?

Answer

Sadly we can only accommodate your plus one and children you list in your RSVP. However, if they bring a chair and a packed lunch we might be able to squeeze them in, but ask us first. If you have any questions, please reach out because last minute cancellations always happen, so there may be an empty chair and plate of food that we need someone to take.

I have dietary restrictions, what’s the best way to communicate that with you?

Answer

We are registered with through zola for a wide range of honeyfunds and a few household essentials.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We love photos! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, we’d like that time to be unplugged. For the rest of the wedding, we encourage guests to post pictures using the wedding album QR code that will be posted at the venue and our wedding hashtag #gardenparty2024 so we can see them too!
