Kinsey and Ariel have been friends for over 10 years! Through all of those years, they’ve survived disliking each other in 6th grade honor orchestra, Ariel hitting Kinsey’s car, and being dorm roommates freshman year of college, just to name a few life events.
The Spaude Family

Austin, Delaney, & Lenore are the Spaude's! Ariel met Delaney and Austin at church when she moved to Fort Collins in 2019, and she’s known Lenore since she was born! Kennon got to meet the Spaude’s shortly after he started dating Ariel, and they’ve been an integral part of their lives since then! Our new favorite thing is Zoom game nights while Ariel is away on rotations.
Harley McDonald

Harley (aka Smarles) is Ariel’s stepsister, but also so much more! Ariel and Harley bonded over summers in North Dakota and have supported each other through all the life stages since then. Harley traveled to Wyoming in 2019 for Ariel’s college graduation and Ariel was in Harley’s wedding in 2021.
Desi & Brinnleigh Surett
Bridesmaid & Flower Girl
Even though they fight (for example, Desi threw a book at Ariel’s head during a … disagreement), Ariel and Desi have been thick as thieves for most of their lives. Desi is Ariel’s cousin and, along with Andrew and Rhainnon, they grew up more as siblings than cousins. When Brinnleigh (aka BG) came along in 2019, Ariel was named godmother and has adored the role! Ariel loves going to Gillette and stealing BG for day dates and sleepovers as often as possible.
Rhainnon Montgomery

Rhainnon and Ariel are technically cousins, but we’re raised as sisters and have maintained that relationship. Through musical years to adulthood, Ariel and Rhai have loved and supported each other through it all despite living far apart off and on. Ariel and Kennon’s doggos love to play with Veric (feat. In the photo), also.
Morgan & Brody Montgomery
Junior Bridesmaid and Ring Bearer
Ariel has had the pleasuring of loving and being the older cousin of both Morgan and Brody their whole lives. Morgan and Ariel do their best to adventure together and have special girl dates, including face masks and movies, of course. Brody is the sweetest little munchkin and is beyond fun to play with. Our favorite game is to play doctor and perform CPR.

Eryn is Kennon’s sister and one of his best friends growing up! Eryn and Dawson’s daughter Hael was born in Tennessee in November of 2021, is one of the flower girls in the wedding, and could easily be the new face of Gerber baby food!

Best Man
Nate was born in Sun Valley, Idaho, and met Kennon in the Wyoming dorms in Laramie back in 2017. Nate and Kennon both understand the military lifestyle and bonded pretty quickly over that fact. Nate’s loyalty, kindness, and constant respect made him the easy choice for best man.
Andrew Gjovig

Andrew, Ariel's brother, was the first person Kennon met out of Ariel's entire family! With every visit to Gillette, Kennon and Andrew became more and more like brothers the more they realized they had in common. Andrew is planning to move to Laramie and live with Kennon as he goes to school!
Lance & Max Lucas
Groomsman & Ring Bearer
Lance is Kennon's cousin and one of the people he looks up to most. Lance and Kennon grew up together only a couple of cities away and Kennon contributes a lot of his motivation for success and Godly living to Lance. Lance is an incredible father and husband and has the crazy ability to quote almost any funny movie word-for-word. Max is Lance’s son and has the rare ability to bring light and joy into any room!

Kennon met Maison at the gym before knowing he was in class with Ariel. The bride and groom quickly recognized Maison and his incredible family as treasured relationships that they needed to maintain!
Stacy and Michael Sloan
Mother and Step Father to the Groom
Stacy is Kennon's mom and one of his first examples of real love in his life. Stacy has always set a standard of love and kindness throughout every situation and raised Kennon to do the same. Without her influence, the confident and loving man Kennon is today would not exist. We urge you to get to know her and her heart, you won't regret it! Mike came into Kennon’s life with a love and effort that few people get in their lives. Listen for the well-educated Tennessee vernacular and you’ll find him!
Tom Kirk
Father of the Groom
Tom is Kennon's dad and the one man in the world that Kennon looks up to most. Tom doesn't have a bad bone in his body and would do anything for anyone. I urge you to find someone with a bigger heart! Tom has devoted his career to helping those struggling with mental health issues and excels at it. He is one of those people that you have to meet in your lifetime!
Jeannie Gjovig
Mother of the Bride
Ariel has known her mom, Jeannie, since before birth. She named Ariel Nervel before she was born and still calls her that to this day... In all seriousness, Jeannie is the kindest, most loving human. Meanie Jeannie is a nurse who loves her patients, works hard, and does everything she can to serve those around her.
Lyle Gjovig
Father of the Bride
Lyle lives in York, ND with his wife, Stephanie. Ariel spent summers up in ND up until she was 16, taking care of the animals and hanging out on the farm. Lyle is a great guy to have a conversation with and you should definitely seek him out for a chat! Just look for the "aristocratic" nose that matches Ariel's.
Loni Lucas
Grandmother of the Groom
Loni is known as Gram by Kennon’s family and is where most the family you see today started. Some of Kennon’s fondest memories growing up are family dinners at her house with her and his Granddad.
George & Karen Montgomery
Grandparents of the Bride
Ariel's grandparents have been some of her biggest supporters her entire life. From gymnastics to choir to graduations, they have been there for it all. Gamma and Papa's house has always been a safe haven with a freezer full of ice cream and a security system to watch Ariel steal said ice cream. Ariel would not be who she is today without the influence of her awesome, loving, supportive grandparents.
