The story of Ariel and Spencer involves, among other things, a Comic-Con convention, two lost kittens, a speeding ticket, and a lethal peanut butter cookie. Actually...that's not right. Truthfully, Ariel and Spencer met the same way many couples meet today: a dating app. Their first match happened in the fall of 2016. Ariel opened the conversation by wishing Spencer a happy Jewish New Year. "He'll definitely respond to that," she thought. Spencer, in his infinite wisdom, did not respond. The match expired a week later. Fast forward six months, and Ariel and Spencer match AGAIN on the SAME dating app (apparently there are only so many Jews who are single and ready to mingle in the Metro Detroit Area). This time, Ariel opted for the far more direct opener of "Hey, you're cute." Spencer remembered Ariel from their previous match, particularly her stunning eyes and the fact that he hadn't responded to her first message. That, combined with the coincidence of a second match and her correct apostrophe usage, compelled him to respond. The rest, as they say, is the rest.
