Attending any wedding, particularly in a garden setting, is a little like being part of a romance story, which is why attire should be dressy but typically not too formal, effortless but not too casual. Rather than being a formal black-tie event, the couple wants everyone to enjoy a more relaxed romantic event. Ladies: Semi-formal attire includes flowing, pretty fabrics and pastels. Dresses, blouses, and even wide-leg pants made of light, flowy fabrics that blow in the breeze are elegant for a garden wedding. Feel free to throw on a bright little summer number, light floral patterns and or colored lace is also a lovely choice. Leave your dark hues at home and choose pieces that put a spring in your step! Men: Not everyone needs to wear a suit, tie, and dress shoes. Instead wear dress pants and shirt with a tie. Black is always fine, but don’t be afraid to pull out those lighter shade suits! A garden wedding welcomes taupe, tan, grey, navy colors.
