This is an outdoor wedding, and you'll likely be walking through some grass and dirt! The dress code is dressy casual. Khaki pants, rompers, skirts, button down shirts, and sundresses would all be appropriate. Bring a jacket, and don't bother breaking in your heels! You're better off with flats, wedges, or boots. The bride will be wearing sneakers.
There will be parking available, but we're working out the details. Plan to drive on an unpaved road and park on dirt and grass.
Alex's dad is making meat empanadas. Never had an empanada? Picture a Runza, but better. Vegetarian (cheese) empanadas will also be available, plus veggies and fruit. Also enjoy self-serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
The venue is Abi's childhood home, several acres of land outside of the small town of Ceresco, NE. Seating is provided during the ceremony and reception. However, there will be some walking on uneven terrain, including grass, gravel, and dirt. Vehicle transportation will be available, and family and friends are more than happy to offer an arm to guide you. If you need mobility assistance, please let us know!
The wedding is happening, rain or shine! In the case of rain, both the ceremony and reception will take place under a massive, walled tent. We'll do everything we can to make sure you're comfortable, but keep in mind this will be an outdoor wedding and reception. We highly recommend you check the weather in advance and dress accordingly (including wearing shoes you don't mind getting muddy).
Yes, we're having an informal 3 v. 3 soccer match during the reception! If you want to participate, RSVP. We recommend bringing a change of clothes and comfortable shoes, but if you want to play in your nicer clothes, who are we to stop you? The groom will play in his suit.
