Travel Note
Public transportation options in New Jersey are quite limited. While it’s possible to take NJ Transit from Penn Station, the journey can take several hours with multiple transfers. For this reason, we highly recommend driving into New Jersey—whether in your own car, a rental, carpooling, or using a ride service like Uber or Lyft. Driving from midtown Manhattan typically takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, including tolls. Make sure to have cash or a toll pass (like E-ZPass) ready for bridges and tunnels. If you’d like to make a weekend out of it, feel free to arrive a day or two early and stay at a local Airbnb or hotel. Contact the Matron of Honor if you need recommendations for accommodations or things to do in the area! Important: If you're driving from New York, be sure to allow extra time for traffic, especially during peak hours. Also, consider using apps like Waze or Google Maps to navigate potential delays and avoid high-traffic areas, such as the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels. Parking will be available at the venue, but if you're staying nearby, carpooling or sharing a ride may help save time and reduce stress. Lastly, keep in mind that gas stations in New Jersey are full-service, so you won’t need to pump your own gas!
Travel Note
For our local guests who already have accommodations sorted, travel to the venues should be fairly straightforward. If you’re coming from the central or northeastern areas of New Jersey, the drive will take approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your specific location and traffic conditions. To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend checking the route in advance and accounting for any potential delays, especially if you're driving during peak times. Parking will be available at the venues, so no need to worry about that! If you’re unfamiliar with the specific area, feel free to reach out to us for suggestions on the best routes or any other questions you may have. We're looking forward to celebrating with you!
Travel Note
We recommend flying into Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), which is the most convenient option for reaching the wedding venues. Once you arrive, renting a car from Newark is the easiest way to get around (see our preferred rental options below). Public transportation in New Jersey is limited, so having a car will give you more flexibility during your stay. For accommodations, consider booking a local Airbnb or hotel—details can be found in the "Where to Stay?" section. We suggest booking flights, car rentals, and accommodations as early as possible to secure the best rates. Important to Note: Driving & Navigation: If you're unfamiliar with the area, we recommend using a GPS app like Google Maps or Waze to help with navigation, especially when driving between venues and around town. Tolls: New Jersey has several toll roads, so make sure your rental car is equipped with an EZ Pass, or be prepared to pay tolls manually. Weather: New Jersey Winter weather can be quite chilly. Be sure to pack accordingly--have your winter jackets and mufflers ready. Local Currency: If you're traveling internationally, don’t forget to exchange some currency, though most places accept credit cards. It's always handy to have a small amount of cash for tips or smaller establishments. We can't wait to have you with us! If you need any assistance with travel plans or recommendations, feel free to contact the Matron of Honor (732-986-0264) or the Bride and Groom.
Flight
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is the closest to the venues. There are plenty of car rentals and taxis available from the airport onwards, which we highly recommend for you to reach your accommodations. Alternative options are John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) or LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York City. These locations are between 1.5-2 hours worth of driving to the venues, so we recommend renting a car from either one of these airports once you land.
Travel Note
We want to give our guests the flexibility to choose accommodations that suit their individual needs, which is why we haven’t reserved a hotel block. We recommend staying in the central area between Princeton and Piscataway, including nearby towns such as Edison, New Brunswick, Somerset, and Plainsboro. These locations will keep you within a reasonable driving distance to all the venues. Please be sure to secure a rental car—details are available on this page. If you're traveling with a larger group, consider booking an Airbnb, as splitting the cost often makes it a more affordable option. And be sure to book your accommodations as early as possible for the best rates. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to the Matron of Honor or the Bride and Groom!
Rental Car
We recommend renting a car through Avis, as they have many locations throughout New Jersey, including near Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), and LaGuardia Airport (LGA). If you're flying in, this can be a convenient option. Avis also offers one-way rentals, which allow you to pick up your car at one location and drop it off at another Avis location of your choice—perfect if you're planning to return the car before heading back home or if you're flying out from a different airport. We highly recommend exploring this option: Avis One-Way Car Rentals, linked above. Important Tips: Book early: Car rentals tend to book up quickly, so be sure to reserve your car as soon as possible for the best availability and rates. Driving apps: If you’re unfamiliar with New Jersey roads, we recommend using navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze to help avoid traffic and find the best routes. Tolls: Make sure to have a toll pass like E-ZPass or cash on hand for bridges, tunnels, and highways. Parking: The venues will have parking available, but it’s always a good idea to confirm parking details with your accommodation as well. If you have any questions about transportation or need additional recommendations, feel free to reach out to the Matron of Honor (732-986-0264) or the Bride and Groom for assistance!
