Question

How do I get from the airport to Tulum?

Answer

Cancun is the closest airport to Tulum. The drive from the Cancun airport to Tulum is approximately 80 minutes. We will be arranging shuttles for people with similar arrival times. SHUTTLE GROUPS AND TIMES HERE: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ob1oEtswjKJ-HAQ7aJEGQAY4Ih4y6YIqbDwMOL78Ddw/edit?usp=sharing If you prefer to arrange your own ride, or we were unable to accommodate you in the shuttle groups, we recommend using Meet Playa Transportation. You can contact Leo to arrange a ride via Whatsapp at +52 1 984 137 9922. Tell him you were referred to by Maria. We have used Leo's service many times and he is trusted, professional and always on time.

Question

What about getting back to the airport after the wedding?

Answer

Send me your flight info and we'll try to arrange shuttles for people leaving around similar times. Otherwise, you can arrange your own transportation. We recommend Leo at Meet Playa (see above).

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

Tulum is very, very hot. Bring lightweight clothes and sandals. There are not a lot of paved surfaces in Tulum–it's very rustic. That being said, it is incredibly difficult to wear high heels of any type. Teeter at your own risk! It's still very humid and hot at night so only light sweaters or shawls may be needed by the beach at night, if anything. We also recommend bringing very strong sunscreen (sun is blazing) and bug spray. The bugs are aggressive at night and when you're in the jungle area of the beach. Bug spray is a must!

Question

Where can I send gifts?

Answer

Please do not bring any gifts to Mexico! If you wish to send us a gift (thank you in advance), please send them to our house at: 852 W. Wisconsin St. #C Chicago, IL 60614

Question

Airbnb v. Hotel?

Answer

It's totally up to you and your budget. Tulum's daytime activity revolves mostly around the hotel beach scene. We recommend hotel for convenience. Major pros of hotels are having access to their beach, easy access to food and drink (many hotels have breakfast included), access to hotel beach parties, fresh linens daily, safety and security. Tulum is very safe, but it's nice to know they have safes in every room and security guards on the grounds at all times.

Question

What day should I arrive?

Answer

Hopefully before Saturday at 5:30pm! :) Feel free to arrive any day! We arrive Tuesday, March, 10th and are staying at the BeTulum hotel.

Question

How will we communicate?

Answer

Every hotel has wifi so you can text, call and communicate as normal! I will be texting guests with updates for group activities the days leading up the wedding. See the Schedule section of the website for a few, fun activities we plan on doing (totally optional).

For all the days along the way
