We’re getting married!

Michael was working weekends and decided to begin hosting weekly hangouts at his house called “Wednesday at Shumay’s.” Annie was working varying hours at the hospital at the time and making her way through grad school. So, when her friend invited her to take a night off and come to a party called “Wednesday at Shumay’s,” she decided to accept. To make a long story short, Annie and Michael met because Annie literally knocked on his front door.

Michael is currently working in carpentry at Leiden Cabinet Company. He enjoys being able to work with his hands now, and he hopes to continue developing his skills in woodworking. Annie graduated with her masters in December of 2022. She is currently working as a home-based crisis counselor for kids and adolescents at Child Guidance and Family Solutions in Akron. She enjoys working with this population and helping these families during difficult times.
