Annie and Lewis love to spend free time on Wrightsville Beach! The beach is beautiful, there are great spots to eat, and lots of outdoor fun!
Downtown Wilmington has so much to offer too! There are great restaurants and historic sites to tour (mansions, USS North Carolina, and more)!
Airlie Gardens is also gorgeous to tour!
Wrightsville Beach
Wrightsville Beach, NC
If you choose to stay somewhere outside of walking distance, you can park and explore via public access points. Make sure you pay to park! You will get ticketed otherwise.
Dogs (leashed) are allowed on the beach seasonally, starting October 1st!
Please note that alcohol is not allowed on the beach so be discrete. Wrightsville and Wilmington locals are very proud of keeping the beach clean and the beach is patrolled regularly. You will get fined for glass AND alcohol. If you choose to partake (we do!), bring a cooler and tuck it away when you hear patrolmen.
Great lunch spot! Dockside is one of Lewis's favorite spots in Wrightsville Beach. Lewis suggests ordering a "painkiller" cocktail and peel and eat shrimp while watching the boats go by!
