We've planned the wedding to minimize transportation because there is limited to no third-party transportation in the area. Uber and Lyft are unlikely to be available and taxis are usually not available. Almost everything is within a 20 minute walk or less to Bay View. We recommend having a car to be able to easily visit locations outside of Bay View. Early Welcome Drinks at the Backlot in downtown Petoskey, Welcome Drinks at Bay View Country Club, and Beach Day at Petoskey State Park are the furtherest distances from Bay View, but are still within walking distance. Driving or riding a bike to the Sunday Beach Day at Petoskey State Park is recommended over walking. There will be a park entry fee at the gate if you drive, but biking is free. There is a trolley available Wed-Sun from 10AM to 10PM that can take you downtown and to Petoskey State Park. Here is the schedule: https://www.petoskeydowntown.com/getting-around/trolley/
There will be no parking available on Bluff St. The street will be closed for the wedding. If you are staying at the Terrace Inn or Bay View Inn, please walk to the reception. We recommend parking near the Post Office (26 Park Ave, 49770), walking over the bridge and down the Bluff. Street parking is also available across US 31 near the intersection of Encampment and Fairview. Be careful when crossing the highway.

Bay View and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful! We recommend taking the time to enjoy the are while you're here. Don't forget to check out the night sky in the evening. You'll find the Milk Way Galaxy and if you look long enough some shooting stars! We've outlined all our favorite things to do on our Things to Do page: https://www.zola.com/wedding/annieanddeclan/poi
Beyond your dancing shoes and wedding attire, we recommend a bathing suit and a sweatshirt! The days will be warm enough to swim but the nights get cold so warmer evening attire is recommended.
We don't mind if you bring your kids for the weekend but unless the kids are specifically invited to the wedding, please make arrangements for them during the wedding festivities (welcome drinks & reception). You may be able to find babysitters in the area but look in advance and select someone who is reliable.
