We met ~9 years ago at our favorite restaurant in Truckee, Drunken Monkey. What started as a highly sarcastic coworker friendship, quickly transformed into something much more. Our earliest memory is when Cory was a busser and Annie was a hostess. Cory had just come back from a bike injury and was unable to lift anything more than 10 lbs (so essentially couldn't do his job). Annie would take over bussing heavy items from tables, where Cory would tease her for her "baby arms." Luckily, Cory got away with it because Annie's job revolved around being able to boss Cory around. One of our first adventures together was a road trip to Oregon to visit Cory's family. We consider this trip to be the event that solidified our lifelong partnership. We will never forget the night that we spontaneously camped on a beach. We were completely unprepared and had to stop at a walmart along the way to buy some pillows and blankets. We built a fire, drank some beers, casually avoided the rangers that patrolled the beach, and fell even more in love. Since then, we have continued to adventure. We love camping, skiing, disc golf, and anything that we can bring our dog Oakley. We love taking trips such as these with our favorite people. Whether that be family, old friends, or our recently formed "commune" of neighbors at home. We are ecstatic that our wedding will parallel what we love most in life. Camping with our greatest friends and some excellent fur babies. A weekend to relax and spend some quality time. Let the yard games & white claws commence! We love you all, and we can't wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people together.
