Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

All children are welcome to attend the ceremony. Following the ceremony, babysitters will set up arts and crafts, activities, and snacks for children 10 years and younger to enjoy under the canopy at the ceremony site while adults and teens head up to the reception hall. The babysitters will be there for most of the reception (5pm-9pm) but please feel free to pick up your kid(s) at any time.

Question

I'm staying at a cabin at Cama Beach State Park, what do I need to know?

Answer

Welcome, we're so excited you've joined us! See your email from Annie regarding details on checking in and what to bring (contact her if it's been over 48 hours since you submitted your reservation; 425-344-2072). Important reminders: 1. Only one parking pass/cabin. if you need to have a 2nd car, you'll need a Discover Pass or to pay $11.50/day at the front office 2. Arrive before the shuttle stops running (i7:30pm Friday, 5:30pm Saturday) to avoid bringing your belongings down to your cabin by foot (~15 min walk) 3. Check the weather before you go; expect to bring layers for 45-65 degree weather 4. Meals: Friday & Saturday dinners are included. Saturday breakfast/lunch is on your own and Sunday brunch is available for purchase in advance. Cama Cafe (open 8am-2pm) is located in the Cama Center. Other options include bringing your own food, cooking on the grills around the park, or driving into town. 5. Have kids? Bring extra clothes and rain boots for playing in the surf at the beach

Question

I'm not staying at Cama Beach State Park, is there anything I need to know in order to attend the wedding with ease?

Answer

Plan on paying for parking each day in the state park. Parking is located above all venues, requiring a short walk (~15 minutes) or a shuttle ride to the event. Shuttles run daily from Xam to Ypm (time TBD). For parking costs, a daily parking pass is $11.50. If you are a WA resident or if you plan to be at the park all three days, consider purchasing an annual Discover Pass in advance for $35. You can purchase one from the Cama Beach State Park office during business hours, online, at one of the vendors listed on the site: https://discoverpass.wa.gov/133/Where-to-Buy

Question

I'm not staying at the park but want to attend the rehearsal dinner and/or brunch, is that okay?

Answer

Yes! But please RSVP on the Schedule or RSVP page so we know to expect you. The brunch is prepaid but costs $20 per person. Once you RSVP, we will reach out to you to determine how best to receive payment (i.e. paypal, venmo, check, etc).

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

Mid-October has temperatures in the mid 40’s to mid 60’s in recent years. Plan for layers; jeans and a shirt can be great during sunny October days while sweatshirts and fleeces will be necessary if it's overcast or if it's after sunset. Check out the weather for Camano Island, WA before you pack to see what is forecasted for the weekend. A raincoat and good walking shoes are highly recommended.
