---------------------------------------------------------------------- Q&A below are for the wedding on Saturday ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes! Both take place at "The Nat" (Natural History Museum), located in San Diego's Balboa Park.
The dress code is "dress to impress". We recommend wearing semi-formal or cocktail attire. Ladies should wear a dress or something similar that makes you feel glamorous, and the gentlemen should wear a snappy suit or sports coat.
We recommend arriving 30 minutes early, so the ceremony can begin promptly at 5:30 pm, with the celebration immediately following! An early arrival also allows for extra time to walk around charming Balboa Park prior to the wedding festivities.
Yes! There are several small lots adjacent to the Natural History Museum off of Park Blvd, and parking is free! We encourage our guests to carpool or use rideshare (Uber/Lyft) for the evening, so they can imbibe without concern for transportation.
A little of both! The ceremony will be on the rooftop as the sun is setting. The cocktail hour and reception will be located inside the museum's exhibit hall and main atrium, respectively.
Yes, but of course! A variety of complimentary adult beverages will be available. We ask that you bring some cash to tip your wonderful bartenders.
We ask that everyone stash their devices during the ceremony and enjoy the special moment with us. Once the formalities have ended, we fully support your 'gram habits. Feel free to snap away and share the love at #annabelleandsean
While we love your little ones, we want our family and friends to celebrate without worrying about their kids. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home. If you wish to still travel with children, let us know, and we can try to find contact information for a local babysitter.
We do not request any gifts, as your presence at our wedding is the greatest present of all! However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, please consider selecting something from our honeymoon registry. Should you bring a card or gift, there will be a designated table with the guest book at the entrance to the rooftop terrace.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- Q&A below are for those visiting San Diego ----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've recommended several hotels on or near Shelter Island on our Travel page. However, you are welcome to stay anywhere in the San Diego area. America's Finest City has many wonderful accommodations, including hotels and vacation rentals by the beach.
Beautiful! By any definition, the weather in San Diego is perpetually sunny and what most people imagine when they think of Southern California. By late April, the days are longer and the weather is warmer, with an average temperature between 56-68 F. You can, for the most part, expect sunny days. Although storms are rare, they are a possibility.
Pack a mid-weight jacket, especially for evenings near the ocean. Long-sleeved shirts and sweaters layered over short sleeves are your best bet. San Diego is a laid-back city, and you can wear jeans and other casual clothing anywhere. You likely won't need a raincoat, but if you're planning to take a boat cruise, that hooded windbreaker you packed will be come in handy.
We did not plan any wedding events on Sunday because we know many out-of-town guest will be catching early flights to return to their home time zones. For those of you that are sticking around for a few hours or days, we would love to meet up for a late brunch.
