Question

How do I get around Vail?

Answer

Vail is a very walkable town! The Hythe (our room block & recommended hotel) is in Lionshead, which is just west of Vail Village. This is about a 20 minute walk, or an easy 5 minute shuttle ride. Shuttles are free and run around Vail daily from 6:30am - 1:30am. Shuttle transportation is provided for the wedding to and from The Hythe and Camp Hale.

Question

How do I get to/from the wedding?

Answer

Wedding day transportation from Vail to Camp Hale will be provided. The drive from The Hythe to Camp Hale is a scenic 25-30 minute drive up into the mountains. We do not recommend driving, however, parking is available if needed.

Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

This will be an adult only affair. We love your kids, we really do, but we want our wedding to be your weekend off!

Question

Where is Camp Hale?

Answer

We're glad you asked :) At a remarkable 12,000ft elevation, Historic Camp Hale lies within the Pando Valley. It is surrounded by the White River National Forest, and 15 miles from Vail. Once home to 15,000+ American Soldiers, Camp Hale is the former training grounds for the 10th Mountain Army Division. Camp Hale is the highest city in the US, so stay hydrated kids!

Question

What will the weather be like in Colorado this time of year?

Answer

Colorado's summer weather is one of the most beautiful! Temperatures range from high 70s during the day and low 40s in the evening. We suggest dressing in layers as temperatures can fluctuate quickly in the mountains, so please plan accordingly when packing. We recommend comfortable footwear for Saturday's events, and a shawl for the evening.

Question

What Should I Wear?

Answer

Welcome Reception: Summer Cocktail Attire Garden party-type dress, sundress, or jeans/button down for men. For the Wedding: Black Tie We will be outside the majority of the evening, so ladies should wear shoes suitable to walk on grass. Day After Party: Western Chic Pair a cowboy hat with a dress or wear some boots with your jeans. We recommend bringing a sweater or light jacket and wearing suitable shoes for being outdoors on an unpaved surface. As Annie and Brent's favorite activity is hiking the Colorado mountains, we highly recommend joining them, and packing your hiking gear to enjoy one of the most incredible views and workout!

Question

Should I stay for the long weekend?

Answer

Yes! We would love for all of our guests to stay through Monday for the long weekend, but it is, of course, optional to leave Saturday or Sunday. We will have the day party at Bearcat on Saturday, as well as activities on Sunday that everyone is welcome to join!

Question

If I still have questions, who should I contact?

Answer

Please feel free to call or text Brent or Annie!
