Our story began at Carver's Brewing Company after matching on a dating website (Shout out to Hinge!). Anna was new to Durango and Michael had been here his whole life. After bonding over our love for the outdoors and a few more dinner dates, we embarked on our first hiking adventure to the beautiful Piedra hot springs. Even though it was pouring rain and we were covered in mud, we had such a beautiful day together and realized that we had something truly special. A year later, after adopting our sweet dog, Daisy, we knew the rest was history!

It was New Year's Eve, and we went to Wolf Creek Ski Resort to chase some of the best powder of the season. Even though it was dumping snow and visibility was low, we took a snowcat shuttle to go ski the Horseshoe bowl even though we couldn't see ten feet in front of us. While waiting to drop into the bowl, Michael suggested we have a friend take a photo of us. Then, while smiling for the camera, Michael dropped down on a knee and asked Anna to marry him. Of course she said YES! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Durango!
