It all began on a typical Tuesday night during their second year of medical school at Georgetown… at McFadden’s Bar. They immediately had a strong connection, though John didn't ask Angelica out on a date until 5 months later despite daily texts, google chats, and two post-exam parties. On their first date, John took Angelica to an upscale Italian restaurant in Cleveland Park (now an upscale 7-11), where they talked for 5 hours, realizing how much they had in common. Although Angelica knew he was someone special, she played hard to get… at first. Their love grew as they studied and explored DC together. John showed his commitment by coming to weekly Bachelor viewings at Angelica’s house with her girlfriends, now bridesmaids. Angelica started following the Redskins, Nationals, and Capitals to show her commitment to John, though pretty sure she still can’t name a player on any of those teams. Couples matching took them to NYC, where they love to go on walks to Central Park, try new restaurants, and see family and friends. While they continue to work hard in their residency and fellowship, they always have fun together and support each other, even if the pager goes off at 3:00am… then 4:00am…then again at 4:30am. Their motto is work hard, play hard. On April 7, 2018, John brought Angelica back to where it all began…and got down on one knee at Georgetown. Family and friends surprised the two at a nearby restaurant. Since then, they have been planning their big day and are so excited to celebrate with you all by their side on June 15 2019. This is just the beginning of their love story!
