Darla and Colette met as cheerleaders at Andrean High School. They reconnected in 2015, after Colette returned to Chicago after graduate school. Darla is a nurse in New York City.
Gretchen Mitchell
The Best, Man
Gretchen is Andy's only sister and the youngest of his siblings. She's an oncology nurse at Rush Hospital. Back when she and Andy were single, the two of them would travel to family gatherings together, and Andy would try to get her into weird indie music while she educated him on the finer points of One Direction and other boy bands.
Matt Mitchell
Groomsman ("The Best Matt")
Matt is Andy's older brother, and first friend in life. As children, people would confuse them for twins. Now, it's much easier to tell them apart, as Matt is a Data Scientist for Discover who lives in Libertyville with his beautiful wife, Korie, and their son, the ring bearer, Kyle, while Andy is Andy. Besides good looks, the two will always share a love of movies – especially Star Wars movies – and random trivia.
Joe Mitchell
Groomsman ("The Joe's-man")
Joe is Andy's younger brother, born exactly one year and 364 days after him. While Andy was a bit annoyed at first by his 2nd-birthday gift, the two have grown closer thanks to years of tech advice (from Joe) , music nerdery, and Simpsons memes. Joe lives in Geneva with his beautiful wife, Emily, and their two sons, Theo and Ethan. Special thanks to him for letting Andy use their shared birthday party in 2020 as the venue for his proposal. Andy is still very sorry about how Joe's 21st birthday ended.
Kayla Pulley
Bridesmaid
Kayla and Colette met in the Second City Conservatory. They are co-founders of the all female, all African-American sketch comedy team Bosses in Bonnets. They also work together at PlayMakers Laboratory. Kayla is an accomplished comedian, writer, and teaching artist.
