Question
Where should I stay and how much does it cost?
Answer
The wedding weekend (8/16-8/19) will take place at Borgo di Pietrafitta exclusively for our celebration and events. We have reserved rooms for everyone and would love you all to stay in the villa with us the whole weekend. The total cost to stay at the Borgo for the whole weekend is $250 per person or $500 per couple. This covers your stay for all 3 nights (Friday-Monday) with cleaning each day. When should I book my flights?
Answer
If you want the most options with the best prices, it’s best to book flights early. It also helps us to know who is attending in order to plan seating, meals, etc. At the minimum we recommend booking ~6 months ahead, by February 2024.

What meals will be served during our stay?
Answer
Breakfast will be served Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. We will have a Welcome dinner Friday night, Wedding dinner Saturday night, and a BBQ lunch on Sunday. We will have some snacks too, but bring your own if you're a hungry bear. See the schedule for more details.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
The weather in Tuscany in August ranges from a high in the 90s during the day to a low in the 60s at night. Parts of the Borgo have air conditioning to cool off and there is a pool on property for our use for the whole weekend. Don't forget to pack your sunscreen and sunglasses!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

We are planning to have all events outdoors (weather permitting) so plan accordingly.

What does 'Italian Summer Formal' dress code mean?
Answer
For the wedding day, we want everyone to look great, but also be comfortable. It will be August in Italy, so it will be nice and warm during the day and get a little cooler in the evenings. Suggestions for women: light breathable fabrics, summer dresses, flower patterns, natural colors, etc. Suggestions for men: lightweight and light-colored suits in cotton, linen, or tropical wools. Dress to impress and have fun with this!

What should I wear for each event?

Details for dress code can be found in our Schedule of Events as well as below. Generally, dress comfortably, but look chic AF! Welcome Dinner: Comfortable but cute cocktail attire. Show off your style! Wedding Ceremony and Reception: 'Italian Summer Formal'. Come looking your finest, but appropriate for the warm weather. Pool Party and BBQ - No dress code, but dont forget your swim suit!

Yes! Be sure to bring your swim suit! We will be having a pool party/bbq lunch on Sunday.

What if I don't want to take the shuttle?
Answer
We hope you want to! However, you are welcome to rent a car and drive to the Borgo where free parking is available.

What if we want to spend extra nights before and after the wedding weekend?
Answer
Please do! Many of our guests are turning this into a big vacation. We have lots of recommendations for other parts of Italy to explore. However, Borgo di Pietrafitta is booked for other events before and after our stay, so we can only be there for our allotted time Friday-Monday.
