What is the nearest airport to the wedding venue?

Answer

The nearest airport is actually in France: Nice International Airport (NCE), located about 40 miles from the wedding venue in Isolabona. Allow about an hour by car. Another option is Genova International (GOA) about 2 hours away.

Check out the Travel and Accommodation tab for options. We will be staying in the village of Apricale during the week leading up to the wedding. We've made some recommendations, and suggest you stay near the wedding venue the night before and night of the wedding ... but you have a lot of choices depending on your needs and budget.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The wedding venue is a historic riverside building in Isolabona that has been beautifully restored and modernized. "Rustically Elegant" is how we describe it. No need for a tux and black tie—the vibe is much more casual. We recommend comfortable cocktail party attire. Assuming the weather is good, the wedding will be both indoors and outdoors. In early October, it may get a bit chilly at night, so bring a shawl or sweater just in case.

Do I need a passport or travel visa to go to Italy?

Answer

Yes, you need a passport to travel to Italy, France, or other countries in the EU. Check to make sure your passport is current and won't expire while you're traveling. The current wait time for passports in the U.S. is 4-8 weeks. Apply now if you need to. If you are a U.S. or Canadian citizen you do not need a travel visa.
