Travel Note
We recommend staying within the large neighborhood of Palermo (which includes sub-neighborhoods such as Palermo Chico, Palermo Soho, and Palermo Hollywood), or Recoleta. Other areas such as San Telmo, Puerto Madero, and Downtown are good to visit but not the best places to stay as they can feel isolated after working hours. Below is a link to a map of the different parts of Palermo, and Recoleta is just to the east of Palermo. The list of hotel recommendations below are some that we are familiar with, but there are many others we didn't include here. We included hotels with different price points, and there are some cute boutique hotels around Palermo that won't break the bank. If you have any questions about where to stay or any hotels, please ask us! Airbnb is another good option and it can be more affordable in many cases.
Travel Note
The economic and currency value situation changes faster than baking an empanada, so check back here as we get closer to November for the latest recommendation. Recently, Visa and Mastercard have made it easier to use credit cards with a great exchange rate so a ton of cash is not needed, assuming you have a credit card with no foreign transaction fees. But we highly recommend still getting some cash because most tipping (including at restaurants) is in cash. Amex is not widely accepted. To get Argentinian pesos in cash, we recommend bringing $100 USD bills to exchange for the "blue dollar" rate. You can find people willing to exchange cash for you in a “cueva” on certain streets (such as Florida, a pedestrian street) and you can find the latest rates here: https://bluedollar.net/
Travel Note
For getting around the city and to/from the wedding events, take Uber or Cabify and choose a comfort or premium car, which is still quite affordable. (You can pay with cash or credit using the apps.) XL-sized Ubers are not commonly an option, so you may need to break up larger groups into multiple cars.

The Algadon Mansion ($$$$) is a fantastic boutique hotel. In the heart of the residential area of Recoleta, boutique 10-room hotel with stylish modern comforts, posh but relaxed, with an outstanding wine selection and farm fresh products.
Hotel
CasaSur Bellini, CasaSur Recoleta and CasaSur Palermo ($$$): they are all great and perfectly located. We like staying at CasaSur Bellini, where you can enjoy their breakfast or go next door to Coco Cafe, Berkin and many other cafes in the neighborhood. CasaSur Palermo is more hip and is surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and nightlife. CasaSur Recoleta is in a quieter neighborhood.

The Mio Buenos Aires ($$$) is an intimate and quiet hotel in Recoleta with very comfortable rooms.

Mine Hotel Boutique ($$), Legado Mitico Hotel, and Home Hotel all three located in residential areas of Palermo Hollywood and Soho which offers the perfect location for young crowds in the search of a local experience. Surrounded by coffee shops, bars and laid-back restaurants. They all have very similar vibe: modern in recycled old construction, cute property with a back garden and small pool.
