When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by May 1, 2025. If you cannot attend, we will miss you, and would appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity. If you miss this date we will be unable to accommodate your presence at the wedding, as we will send final headcounts to vendors shortly after the deadline.

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is Black-Tie Optional. Ladies are encouraged to wear an evening gown, midi, or knee-length cocktail dress. Men can wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie.

Where should I stay?

Answer

The Landsby in Solvang (10 min. to the venue): Room block is available Thursday, June 26, 2025 through Sunday, June 29, 2025. Please call the Reservations Manager, John Schulz at (805.697.7050), (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm), and mention the Group name: "Ellis-Smith Wedding June 2025." Try avoiding contacting the front desk as they won't have our Room Block information as readily available. This will also be a shuttle pick up & drop-off location. Other Hotel Options (min. to venue): - The Hadsten Solvang, Tapestry Collection by Hilton (11 min): $ - Alamo Motel (15 min): $ - Skyview Los Alamos (14 min): $$ - Santa Ynez Marriott (12 min): $$ - The Genevieve (7 min): $$ - The Inn at Mattei's Tavern (3 min): $$$ - Fess Parker Wine Country Inn (4 min): $$$ There are so many charming Airbnb and Vrbo options in the Santa Ynez Valley! We encourage all guests to check those out as well.

Is there transportation to/from the venue?

Answer

We will be providing transportation for our guests to Roblar Winery. More details to come so please continue to check the website! Ubers are sparce in the area but we have had luck with Santa Ynez Taxi, taxi service. If you are continuing on the party form the venue to Mavericks Saloon, a bus will be taking anyone who wants to go!

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held on-site at Roblar Winery. Everything, with the exception of the band and dancing, will be held outdoors. Ladies - Dinner reception will be held on the lawn, please plan your footwear accordingly!

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception a 21+ event. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night! We hope you understand and can still celebrate with us on our special day.

Will there be a bar?

Answer

Roblar Winery is a beer and wine-only venue. Welcome Drinks, the After Party, and the Saturday Pool Party will be full-bar events.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

While we would love to have everyone attend, due to capacity limitations of our venue, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding!

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 pm. Please refer to our Travel tab for shuttle schedules.
