Most couples have a welcome party the first day... We're switching things up. How does climbing an active volcano sound? Don't worry, there will be pizza and marshmallows roasted on lava at the top. About 25 miles south of Guatemala’s capital, rising more than 8,000 feet over sea level, the Pacaya volcano overlooks the nearby villages of San Vicente Pacaya and Amatitlán. Since 2019, the Pacaya became the first pizza place in the country, and one of the first on earth, to use lava caves as ovens. We will take buses from Antigua to Pacaya Volcano (trip is roughly 2hours), then we'll be assigned to our tour guides who will lead our hike up to the volcanic lava where the pizza will be made and can be enjoyed! Hike is 1.5 miles long. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes, appropriate hiking shoes, and bring a jacket as it gets cold at the top.
4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join us for sunset hour, cocktails, and light bites at the rooftop terrace of Casa Troccoli, a hidden gem in the heart of Antigua. Casa Troccoli is a 5 to 15 minute walk from all hotels in the walled city. Don't forget to wear white.
