I first met Danny my freshman year of college when he introduced himself as "Peter" and for the rest of the year I would fond over how cute that Sophomore Peter was. Surprisingly, no one else found Peter cute, well no one even knew who Peter was... It wasn't till my second year of college that I figured out his real name. Then he became Danny the guy who was always studying and never took any breaks other than to rap Calle 13 and DJ mediocrely. No one can really quite sing Atrevete-te-te like Danny and thats probably what won me over, or was it the fact that Danny's dad Chacho fixed my dingy eye glasses, or maybe it was the fact that Danny is my soul mate. We were friends for years before our love for wine and cheese boards brought us together, and of course our wonderful friends. If it hadn't been for Danny buying me a bottle of wine at Lagniappe and a cheese plate you probably wouldn't be on our wedding website right now. Our love story started at Lagniappe, then the orchestra, and finally ended with us "studying" together at Macondo's Coffee Shop. Then Danny thought it would be cute to base all of our dates on songs. Every weekend we'd each choose a song and reenact parts of it during our date from romantic picnics on the beach to wine nights. With each date I realized our love for medicine and our wants were the same. We were more alike than I ever thought. For our first Valentine together, Danny bought us a plane ticket to go to Chicago.. it was a grand gesture... except that the plane ticket was for a flight departing Tuesday morning and coming back the next day. This was when I realized Danny doesn't always think with his head, but he definitely does with his heart. To make it an even more unforgettable trip, we missed our flight and ended up on a layover in Texas where we had margs and Danny finally asked me to be his girlfriend. It was the most perfect start to our relationship. Since then we've been on many trips around the world, done cringey photo shoots, several family dinners, graduated college, got in to med school, moved in together, survived quarantine, got our fur baby Bailey, and finally got engaged. It has been a whirlwind of beautiful moments these past 6 years. No one else I'd rather spend the rest of my life with. Thank you for being a part of our wedding and story.
