On a random Friday night in our last semester of undergrad, Amy and her bridesmaid Haley were having a wine night. Haley was also friends with Taylor and as they scrolled through dating apps she wondered how she hadn't given Amy his number! A few weeks later Amy and Taylor had their first date at downtown Salt Lake City bar named Whiskey Street where he made her eat "disgusting fried pickles." About a month later at 3am after an early screening of Avengers Endgame, Taylor asked Amy to be his girlfriend and the rest is history!
Taylor and Amy were playing Wii Sports Golf one night mid-pandemic and Taylor was doing really poorly to say the least. He was getting several bogeys as they say in golf. Trying to be a goofball, Amy turned to Taylor and said “it’s okay you’re my Bogey!” For some reason, the nickname stuck and they’ve been calling each other Bogey ever since!
The night before, Taylor took Amy to one of their favorite date night spots, the Little America bar. This was the tease. The next morning, he took her to surprise brunch at Whiskey Street, where they had their first date. After a delicious meal, they walked around downtown and eventually stumbled upon a spot covered in white rose petals. Still oblivious, Taylor grabbed Amy’s hands and walked her to the top steps in front of gorgeous brass doors. A Grey’s Anatomy quote and few romantic sentences later, Amy managed to say “YES” through all her tears. Amy’s sorority little was hiding behind a nearby car to capture the whole moment!
