This large state park is situated near our recommended hotels and provides a wonderful opportunity to spend some time outdoors. The park not only hosts Frodo's favorite dog park, but also boasts a multitude of walking paths, sand volleyball courts, and a reservoir where you're likely to see paddleboarders, jet-skiiers and fishers enjoying the Colorado sunshine! Anticipate a park fee.
An iconic Denver venue and photo op, Red Rocks provides an opportunity for light hiking and stair-stepping alike. Visit the amphitheater for a panoramic view of Denver, or if you're able, extend your stay and catch a show!
The bride's favorite brewery in Colorado (so far)! With a great outdoor space, food trucks on rotation, and nearby biking and hiking trails, this is a great low-key option for enjoying some downtime. It's a bit of a drive, but for those with rental cars, its worth it!
The groom's favorite! If you're in the mood for wings and fried goods, this Denver staple is certain to quench your craving. The groom recommends the "peanut butter & jelly" combination of sauces -- don't knock it 'til you try it!
One thing Denver knows and loves is a food hall! In addition to street art and murals (like that pictured above) Denver Milk Market hosts a variety of counter-style eateries as well as sit-down restaurants with unique cocktail offerings. Close to shopping and in the heart of the action, this is a great place to rest your feet if you're out and about exploring while you are here. Bonus points if you spot the jewelry store where Amy found her wedding band!
If you're here for a weird time AND a good time, stop by Meow Wolf Denver! Tickets are required, and visitors should plan to spend a minimum of two hours walking around inside this extraterrestrial world-themed interactive art exhibit. The bride and groom recommend purchasing a QPASS with your ticket to be able to fully experience what Meow Wolf has to offer.
