Michael and Amy had a history before they even knew it. They went to the same small middle school in Andover, Massachusetts, but never crossed paths as Michael was in the grade above her. Fast forward, they went to rival high schools and then ended up at Union College together. During Amy's very first night out at Union, a cute boy approached her who knew her name. She didn't recognize him at first, but it clicked shortly after they got to talking that it was Michael, and the two hit it off right away. The rest.. is history! Over eight years later, they've experienced so many places and adventures together, with the most recent being their big move to NYC!

With the goal of totally surprising Amy, while babysitting her dad's dog, Cooper, they decided to take him to a nice park on a Friday afternoon and have a beer.. something they've done many times before. Instead of the park right across the street from their apartment however, Michael suggested going to the Arboretum to a hill that overlooks Boston. As they were there relaxing with their beer and playing ball with Cooper, Michael suggested they take a picture with Cooper since the background was nice. If you know Amy, she obviously agreed. They took a few pictures and right as she was about to get up, she turned to her left to see a beautiful ring. After that, there were lots of tears, laughs, and chasing Cooper around since he had run away in excitement. It was the perfect fall evening.
