Drive-By Reception

Half an hour after the ceremony, the bride and groom will be outside the front doors of the church where they will cut their own small cake and greet friends and family that are able to come. Members of the wedding party will direct guests on where to drive their cars to can say a quick hello, take pictures, offer a congratulations, and snag a piece of cake (which will be pre-packaged based on RSVP responses and served through the passenger window). Guests will then be directed to a parking lot where they will be able to stay in their vehicles or stand along the road for the send-off. For the dive-by reception to see the bride and groom, please arrive at the church within the time range of 5:00-5:30pm. After a quick visit with the bride and groom, your vehicle will be directed to a parking lot where you are invited to send off the bride and groom at approx. 5:45! Guests are asked to kindly remain in their vehicles for the duration of this event.

Postponed Reception Celebration

When all of this is over and we know guests can celebrate the bride and groom and dance together safely, we will have our originally planned reception at Historic Rucker Place. We are hoping to do this near their one-year anniversary. Date and time are still to be determined, and formal invitations to come.
