After talking for almost two weeks through an online dating site, “Hinge Amy” and Cory decided to meet in person. Cory made his way through Google directions to Amy’s favorite Mexican place, Los Mariachis, where he ordered queso and guacomole. When Amy arrived an hour later (in her usual timely fashion), he hadn’t touched a single chip. They talked the night away and their love story began.

Cory let Amy plan her own engagement dinner. Amy was oblivious as she was preparing to go out of town for work. In order to go out of town, she wanted to meet with her friends (Jake and Mandeep) that would be dog sitting. They were meeting for late dinner at Los Mariachis when Cory got off work. Amy’s dad had told her that Cory was going to propose, but she was expecting it to happen on her bucket list adventures later that month. In order to surprise Amy, Cory decided to turn this late Sunday dinner with friends into a memorable night. With few spectators around, Cory finished his meal and clued in their friends by going to the restroom. When he got back to the table, Cory pulled the ring box out of his boot and got down on one knee asking Amy to marry him. She said “Yes, of course!” through tears of joy as they celebrated with shots of tequila in the same section of Los Mariachis where they had their first date.
