Shuttle

Shuttle Between Drake and Events

For both Friday's event and the Saturday morning ceremony, limited spots on a shuttle between the events and the Drake Hotel are available. Please reach out to hallidayef@gmail.com if you'd like to join the party bus!

Flight

Chicago O'Hare Airport

For our international guests, you will most likely be landing at O'Hare airport. O'Hare is about a 30-minute drive from the hotel where our reception will be held and is about a 40-minute drive from the City. The Drake does have shuttles to and from the airport. For those planning to stay at alternative lodgings, if there is not a shuttle, an Uber or Lyft ride will be the easiest to use.

Flight

Midway Airport

For our guests from out-of-state, you may be landing at Midway Airport. Like O'Hare, Midway is about 30 minutes from the Drake Hotel and about 40 minutes from the City.

Train

CTA & Metra

For our guests that are hoping to get a bit of "Big City Fun" into their trips, you are able to take the Metra train into the city. The closest Metra station is in Hinsdale, about a 10 minute drive from the hotel. Traffic around the city can get pretty intense, so we would definitely recommend the Metra. For travelling within the city, there is the CTA, which has multiple lines and can get you virtually anywhere in the city you'd like to visit. You can by passes for 3 days and 7 days, allowing you to use the CTA as much as you'd like for that time period. To get from the Drake hotel to the city, you will take the Metra to Union Station, and take a short walk to the Loop, where there are CTA stations every quarter mile. BE AWARE: The Metra and CTA are two different entities; you cannot use your Metra ticket to get onto CTA trains and visa versa.
