Amanda's sister, best friend, and childhood bully. Just kidding! She can't think of an important moment in her life that her little sister wasn't around for, so of course she is her right-hand woman on this special day. In some ways they couldn't be more different, but in others they are eerily similar. Allison is smart, she's beautiful, and she makes a mean butternut squash soup. Amanda doesn't know what she would have done without Allison ('s sense of humour) in her life for 28 wonderful years!

Taylor and Amanda met in their first year at Wilfrid Laurier University over 11 years ago. They have come a long way from challenging themselves to see how many nights in a row they could drink; they now bond over their deep love for cats and sour candy. Taylor is like a second sister to Amanda who can go out for a night on the town or lay around in pjs with her all day watching cat fail videos.

What can Amanda say about Britt that won't make her hate this? A trick question, she will hate it. Is she a pro chef? A model? An excellent therapist? A bad-ass Aries woman? Yes to all of the above! Britt is not only Amanda's friend, but also a mentor...whether she accepts that title or not. Amanda and Britt met at George Brown College where they anxiously wondered what their futures would look like. They still have questions, but they can definitely share a laugh about life in 2015 over a glass of red wine. Cheers to you, friend!

Emily is two very important things to Amanda: her cousin and her partner in crime. They grew up together spending summers and winters at the cottage...oh the mischief they got into. Amanda could surely write a book about those adventures! Some of Amanda's deepest life chats have been with Emily and she would choose no one else to have epiphanies with. This superwoman is a passionate school principal, so don't step out of line on the dance floor!

Amanda's sister's partner and resident funny guy, Sohrab! This guy can improv like you cannot believe, so we thought what better role could we give him than MC-ing our wedding? Besides being hilarious, Sohrab has been an honourary member of our family for quite some time. He's always willing to lend a hand, knows more about the physical body than maybe my doctor, and can always enliven a crowd. Also, if anyone has extra food on their plates at the end of the night, he will gladly take it.

Petar’s big brother Alex will probably win a Nobel Prize for “most thoroughly-earned best man ever”. Whether Petar’s decisions in life are huge or tiny, (or even purely hypothetical), Alex always shows up for him in a big way. He’s also the kind of man who lifts up the whole room and looks sharp while doing it. He’s outstanding. Flaws? Sure. He likes Radiohead too much. Genuinely - it’s a problem, don’t bring it up. Otherwise, Alex is all class.
Adria Markovich

Adria is Petar’s big sis, and he likely owes any trace amounts of maturity and grace he has to her. She was always the wrangler, referee, and trailblazer of the 3 siblings. She has the compassion of a saint, and the tact of a frickin’ cold-war diplomat. She’s had a guiding hand in basically every good decision Petar has made - including advice on the very ring Petar chose for his proposal to Amanda. What’s someone have to do to earn the title of Wedding Officiant? Look to Adria, she’s the blueprint.

Sam is awful. Honestly, how did he make this list? Sure, he has known Petar since grade 1. Sure, he offers to drive Petar every time they hang out. Sure, he helped Petar buy his first home. Sure, they sent *checks notes* 142 texts yesterday (that’s true as of writing). Does Petar love Sammy? Yes. A thousand times yes. With all his heart. But Sam is just… a reaaal piece of work. You know? You understand.
Nicholas Ritchie

If there’s something to do, Nick has tried it: Film & TV. Electrician work. Farming. DIY septic tank repair hobbyism (what a legend). It makes sense that Petar and Nick’s friendship is wonderful and weird. Pre-youtube marionette videos (why). 2am straight-lines hikes through closed golf courses (why). Unknowingly sharing a toothbrush when living together (WHY). Let’s not forget: “Hey Petar, I raised 50 chickens. Come help me turn them into food.” Nick doesn’t just make Petar’s life brighter, he makes it more interesting.

Kyle is frustratingly talented. He sings, writes, raps, dances, acts, and out-fashions everyone around. Petar basically doesn’t have memories from a time when he wasn’t friends with Kyle. One day, in early junior kindergarten, Kyle said “Hey want to come over and play Super Mario Bros.”? They were immediate best friends, and nearly 30 years later Kyle remains a brother to Petar. Kyle is also better at videogames. See? Frustratingly talented.
