San Diego International Airport

This will be the easiest airport to fly into. Carlsbad is about 35 minutes north of the airport so, it may be best to rent a car during your stay if you plan to see some sights while you're here. You could also use Uber/Lyft if you do not want a rental car and are planning to just stay close to Carlsbad area. If you know other guests coming or people flying in around the same time as you, if might be best to share rental cars/Ubers/Lyfts with other guests to minimize cost. If you are driving to Carlsbad, we suggest taking Highway 101 to enjoy a very scenic route of the California coastline. It takes a little longer, but it's worth it! Once you are in Carlsbad there are many activities walking distance from the hotels. The wedding venue is about 20 minutes from downtown Carlsbad.

A little slice of heaven right on the ocean! We have blocked off rooms at this hotel for wedding guests. Guests must call the front desk to book (do not book online) and mention the Sawyer/Negron wedding block to receive a discounted price for rooms on the Thursday/Friday/Saturday of the wedding. I would recommend booking ASAP to guarantee a room as this is prime time vacation season in San Diego and hotels will get booked up quick! No payment will be required at the time of booking. This will also be the hotel where the shuttle will pick up/drop off guests to and from the wedding. If you are staying at one of the other recommended hotels, they are in very close vicinity and you will still be able to walk over and catch the shuttle here if you wish. This hotel is walking distance to the ocean, restaurants, and shopping in downtown Carlsbad. One complimentary parking spot per reservation.

Shuttle From the Main Hotel to the Ceremony

A shuttle will pick guests up at 3 pm SHARP on Oak Ave, which is the street directly to the left of the hotel, if you are facing the ocean. It is about a 25 minute drive to the venue from the hotel so this will allow plenty of time for guests to get to the wedding venue and get their seat. The shuttle will also pick guests up from the wedding reception at 9:45 pm and take them back to the hotel.
