Amanda and Dano first met in May 2014 while Amanda was waitressing at the Kenosha Yacht club over Memorial Day weekend. Babel (Dano’s father) invited Dano to the beach, but he never quite made it there. Instead, Babel ended up at the Yacht Club drinking Bloody Mary’s where he was being served by Amanda. Dressed in his boardshorts, ready to play sand soccer, Dano was disappointed when he ended up at the yacht club instead of the beach, but quickly perked up when he saw their waitress with the big, beautiful brown eyes. Meanwhile, Amanda told the hostess she thought the guy at her table was cute and had a nice smile. More of Dano’s friends and family joined their table, becoming quite a handful and drinking ALL of the Spotted Cow in the establishment, in true Canchola fashion. Dano finally mustered up the courage to ask Amanda for her name… only to forget it a few drinks later. (Smooth, Dano) Needless to say, he did not get her number that night. A week later, Amanda happened to be out in downtown Kenosha with her friends when she and Dano ran into each other by chance. This time, Dano was sure to get those digits. Conversation came easily, as they spent the night getting to know each other, laughing, and drinking tequila. Amanda went home and posted on Twitter, “I think I met my future husband tonight.” (Cheesy, right?) They began to date and fell in love. In 2016, Amanda and Dano moved across the world to South Korea to teach English and lived there for 6 years. As difficult as it was being so far from home, their relationship only grew stronger. Upon moving back to the states, Dano proposed to Amanda in front of friends and family on Thanksgiving 2021. We cannot wait to have all of our friends and family from all over the globe join us in Mexico as we FINALLY say “I DO”. Let’s fiesta!!!!
